Safety - Portland cement concrete pavements routinely outlive their design lives, never rut or washboard (which reduces the dangers of hydroplaning), provide better long-term traction and ensure shorter vehicle stopping distances in wet weather.
Comfort - Today, concrete pavement contractors routinely exceed stringent smoothness requirements established by state agencies. Also, new studies suggest that properly constructed concrete pavement are just as quiet as any other pavements.
Environmental Friendliness - Portland cement concrete pavements require less energy to illuminate, reduce motor vehicle fuel consumption and are completely recyclable.
